A relative quantification assay is used to analyze changes in gene expression in a given sample relative to another reference sample (such as relative increase or decrease -compared to the baseline level- in gene expression in response to a treatment or in time etc). Includes comparative Ct (DDCt) and relative-fold methods. (Relative Quantification Page by Pfaffl).
